Cubs lose another one to the Marlins, 9-1; Kerry Wood already feeling relief from cortisone shot in shoulder

The Cubs lost game 2 of the 3 game series to the Miami Marlins tonight, 9-1.  Matt Garza allowed six runs in five innings, including a pair of two-run home runs in the fifth inning.

Kerry Wood was sent back to Chicago yesterday to receive a cortisone shot in his shoulder.  "He said he already felt relief from [the shot], so that's good," Cubs manager Dale Sveum said today.  If everything goes well after the shot, Wood may be back in the Cubs' bullpen by Friday for the series against the Cincinnati Reds.  The team will be careful in how they use Wood when he is back in commission.

Game 3 of the series is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:40am CST, where Jeff Samardzija will be going for his third win of the season.
