The Cubs' 40-man roster now has updated player numbers

Cubs.com has updated their 40-man roster page listing almost every player's number (the only one not assigned a number yet is Adrian Cardenas).

There are lots of changes, most notably, Tony Campana is now #1 (previously #41), Jeff Baker is #3 (was #28), and Matt Garza is #22 (was #17).  Numbers for newly acquired players include:  Ian Stewart #2, David DeJesus #9, Paul Maholm #28, Chris Volstad #32, and Travis Wood #30 (Ted Lilly's old number).  Following is a link to the complete Cubs 40-man roster.

Matt Garza just talked live to Comcast SportsNet over the phone while driving on his way to spring training (11 days early!)  He is glad to be with the team (again) and is looking forward to the season.  Garza also said the following about Cubs fans, "They're true diehard fans. To be a fan of a team that hasn't won in (103) years – you can't say (much more than that). They're the most loyal fans in baseball.”  Love it!
