Chicago Cubs to build a state-of-the-art academy in the Dominican Republic over the next couple of years

Today the Chicago Cubs unveiled their plans for a new state-of-the-art academy in the Dominican Republic, which will take 12-18 months to build.  The Ricketts Family and Cubs personnel unveiled renderings of the facility, which will sit on 50 acres and be the largest academy in the country.  Carlos Marmol and Starlin Castro were both signed out of the Dominican Republic.  Here's a link to the story on www.cubs.com:
